Seridium Canker

Seridium Canker (Seridium spp.) - Seridium canker is one of the most common cankers in Texas. It is commonly found on ornamental Italian cypress but also is common on other Juniperus family members such as redcedar. The pathogen most oftentimes enters through an existing wound in the bark. The fungus infects the inner bark of trees, causing dead lesions or cankers on branches and trunks.
