Sphaeropsis%20Tip%20Blight (Sphaeropsis%20sapinea) - Also%20called%20Diplodia%20tip%20blight%2C%20Sphaeropsis%20is%20most%20common%20in%20mature%20pine%20trees%2015%20years%20or%20older.%20Symptoms%20are%20most%20evident%20in%20the%20spring%20when%20new%20needles%20are%20stunted%20as%20they%20begin%20to%20grow%20on%20lower%20branches.%20These%20needles%20will%20ultimately%20yellow%2C%20brown%2C%20then%20die.%20As%20the%20disease%20progresses%2C%20it%20invades%20twigs%20and%20causes%20branch%20flagging%20up%20the%20tree%20leaving%20only%20top%20portions%20of%20the%20canopy%20green%20while%20the%20reminder%20of%20the%20tree%20appears%20brown%20or%20dead.
