Cotton%20%28Texas%29%20Root%20Rot (Phymatotrichopsis%20omnivora) - Plants%20may%20appear%20somewhat%20stunted%20when%20first%20infected.%20As%20the%20fungus%20continues%20to%20grow%2C%20there%20will%20be%20more%20advanced%20wilting%20and%20foliar%20discoloration.%20In%20severe%20cases%2C%20defoliation%20can%20occur%20early%20in%20the%20summer%20and%20fruit%20can%20become%20sunburned%20due%20to%20exposure.%20Infected%20plants%20may%20be%20killed%20in%20the%20winter%20or%20survive%20and%20continue%20to%20decline%20slowly%20the%20following%20season.%20Phymatotrichum%20root%20rot%20appears%20in%20a%20circular%20pattern%20in%20the%20vineyard%2C%20and%20the%20pattern%20will%20slowly%20enlarge%20over%20a%20period%20of%20years.
