Phomopsis%20Canker (Phomopsis%20spp.) - Phomopsis%20is%20a%20fungal%20pathogen%20that%20infects%20an%20oak%20tree%20by%20way%20of%20an%20open%20wound%20on%20the%20tree.%20Phomopsis%20can%20also%20infect%20trees%20via%20buds%20and%20progress%20further%20down%20the%20stem.%20Wet%2C%20humid%2C%20and%20shady%20conditions%20help%20foster%20this%20fungus.%20Phomopsis%20causes%20woody%20growths%20or%20cankers%20on%20the%20tree%20which%20once%20established%2C%20disperse%20spores%20from%20various%20cream-colored%20fruiting%20bodies.
